Str8Up is a podcast about social issues that you want to talk about but won't hear about on mainstream media. Hosts Calvin, Brandon, Krsitina and Lee grab guests from various communities discuss theses issues.

Str8Up began as a TV talk show at Bossier Parish Community College. The show’s concept came from current host Calvin, Co-hosts Brandon & Lee and former director Courtney. The show allowed students to be “Str8Up” on a number of topics. Questions were asked by BPCC students and others in the surrounding area. After graduation, Str8Up was turned into a short web series with a similar format but involved those in the general public.

Now Str8Up is a podcast that deals with social issues that most want to talk about but won't hear about on mainstream media. Calvin, Brandon, Kristina and Lee grab guests from various communities to discuss these issues. There is only ONE rule on our show and that is

YOU GOTTA BE STR8 UP!

It was great working with the creators of Str8Up! They are inquisitive and willing to learn about the experiences of other people. It was a great experience overall and a nice way to get my voice heard.
